Kim Sung Hae is the wife of David Yonggi Cho, a renowned Korean Pentecostal who founded the world’s largest megachurch.
Kim Sung Hae and David Yonggi Cho married in 1965 and gave birth to Cho Hee-jun, Cho Min-JE, and Cho Seung-Je.
Kim Sung Hae died on February 11th, 2021 before her husband followed her to eternity. She died from the chronic disease at the Seoul National University Hospital in Daehak-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
Kim Sung Hae is the daughter of the late Pastor Choi Ja-sil, who founded the Yoido Full Gospel Church with Pastor Cho. She was born in 1942 in Sinuiju, North Pyongan Province.
Kim Sung Hae graduated from the Department of Piano at Ewha Woman’s University and received a master’s degree from the Manhattan College of Music in 1995 and a Ph.D. in ministry from Oral Roberts University in 2008.
