Roger Goodell is a renowned American businessman who is currently the Commissioner of the National Football League (NFL).
Roger Stokoe Goodell was born February 19, 1959, in Jamestown, New York to former congressman and the United States Senator Charles Ellsworth Goodell of New York, and his first wife Jean (Rice) Goodell of Buffalo, New York.
Roger Goodell was raised alongside four brothers including Tim, who is a Senior Vice President for the Hess Corporation, and Michael, married to Jack Kenny, creator of the short-lived NBC series The Book of Daniel.
The Webster family on the show was loosely based on Roger Goodell’s family. He has a cousin named Andy Goodell who is a member of the New York State Assembly.
Regarding his education, Roger Goodell graduated from Bronxville High School where, he was a three-sport star in football, basketball, and baseball. He had captained all three teams as a senior.
