Keeshae went missing on September 26, 2016, after she supposedly went to stay at a friend’s house near Chimborazo Park, Church Hill.
Now, five trauma-filled years have passed, yet there is still no news on the whereabouts of Keeshae.

After Gabrielle Petito went missing and was later found in Wyoming, Toni felt a lack of importance given to her daughter’s disappearance because she was black.
Petito’s case gave rise to how media covers missing person cases and unfair treatment to the lost people of color.
Having a lost child, according to Jacobs, is traumatic enough, but adding racial bias makes it even more difficult. ‘Black and Missing,’ a new HBO docuseries, attempts to raise awareness about inequities in missing person cases.
The ‘Black and Missing Foundation’ and its devotion to finding missing people of color are highlighted in this four-part series.
Part one of ‘Black and Missing,’ which premieres on Tuesday, November 23, follows Tony Jacobs, a familiar presence in the Richmond community, and her missing daughter Keeshae.
According to Jacobs, she was directed to the charity by someone who wished to assist her share her story. The production for this series began a few years earlier, but the pandemic in 2020 threw a kink in the works.
The organization’s main objective is to increase the visibility of missing people of color so that they can get the attention they need to be reunited with their families.
Keeshae Jacobs Brother and Mother Toni Jacobs
Keeshae’s brother’s name is Deavon Jacobs.
Deavon was found shot dead at a Motel 6 on Greshamwood Place on January 8 in 2017.
Police were called to Motel 6 at 100 Greshamwood Place at 10:45 p.m. for a reported shooting. When they arrived, Deavon Jacobs was unresponsive and appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the spot.
A 39-year-old James D. Henshaw was arrested on January 9 with a possible connection to Deavon’s murder.
The parent to Deavon and Keeshae, Toni Jacobs was told by police that her daughter’s disappearance and her son’s death had nothing to do with each other.
Toni, devasted by the death of her son and the disappearance of her daughter posted her severe grief on the loss of her children and the love that she feels for them.
