Nobert Mureriwa

Nobert has industry experience covering 26 years. On qualifying as an Attorney at the University of Zimbabwe in 1985, Nobert joined Old Mutual as a Legal Adviser and spent 3 years with Old Mutual where he was heavily involved in providing Technical legal support to the Sales Intermediaries. He moved to the then Prudential Insurance as Senior Manager in charge of all legal, training and Human Resources functions of the Company and was part of the Management team that superintend the move from Prudential to First Mutual Life. He relocated to South Africa and joined Charter Life Insurance, a subsidiary of Liberty Life Insurance, as a Member of the Strategy group of that Company and was greatly involved in bedding down the concept of Bancassurance as one of the most successful examples of the implementation of bancassurance as a strategy. He was appointed Managing Director-Designate of Charter Life before the Group re-organisation saw him transferred to Liberty Life as a Director in charge of Insurance Operations. Nobert returned to Zimbabwe in 2010 as a Consultant to CBZ Holdings on the viability of the Group entering the Life Assurance industry. Nobert crafted the Business Plan for CBZ Life Limited and on acceptance of the Business Plan by the CBZ Holdings Board, Nobert was appointed the new Life Office’s Managing Director. He led CBZ Life to profitability in the first year of operations and indications are that the Company is set for exponential growth in the coming years.
