Moise Matabaro has three years’ experience working as the health, safety, and environment officer on construction projects for M&T in the DRC. Prior to joining the construction industry, Moise Matabaro was the head of the IT department at KALI. As an occupational health and safety professional, he has created a platform for other safety professionals to discuss the impact of construction and mining activities on the environment, as well as the safety of employees. He is also a founder of Amazing Life International, a local NGO that will soon provide vocational training to marginalized women. Moise obtained his university degree in Information Technology Science from Sikkim Manipal University, India, along with a course on Safety from NOSA in South Africa. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Moise plans to continue his work to support marginalized women and promote a culture of safety and environment protection in his community.
